Glad for you, my eggy friend - well deserved. We expect piccies (but not too many - don't forget to look at the view yourself ;) )
I expect I'll be bringing back a couple of thousand images at least.

A long time ago.
I went to school in Cumbria for a couple of years where I learned an appreciation for a great many things.
The best school years of my life.

It'll do that for you.

Ooo and make sure you give yourself time to just sit and look at things.

My enthusiasm has been contagious for others as well.
You're not the only other person that feels that way about my holiday. I don't know what I've done to get this reaction from others but I'm hugely appreciative of it.
Cheers Man. (8+)

I think it's sad that we don't all get like this more often.

If we're going to rescue this rock, we need to develop better sharing of emotion. Besides which it feels great.

my holiday

Enjoy it Mark, I love the lakes.

It's only about an 1.5, 2hrs drive from me so we try to get over there as much as we can. Nice place for photees :D

Planning to head over, perhaps just before or just after Christmas. I think it's even nicer there with a dusting of snow.

Thanks Alun. It's been a week now. Finding it very hard in the evenings but relatively easy during the day. I really miss going out for fresh air and getting away from my desk though. Went for a 'fresh air' break at lunchtime instead of a smoke break. I'll keep you posted.

Bad news is I'm getting headaches :(

Congratulations!!

I've heard of the headache thing before, but apparently it doesn't last long, keep it up, and keep us posted!!

Enjoy your evening...

Note to self: Do NOT put back the clocks in my car or living room, as I didn't put them forward last time... :P
