But I don't want to have to buy overpriced Apple kit!

Yes but he may subsidise it. Or give you the choice of a free Windows machine instead. ;)

I agree plus it would probably result in the legalisation of gay rape or something.

Furthermore the grammar in that opening paragraph is just awful.

Unlikely as Stephen Fry has been celibate for a decade, and certainly would not impose anything on anyone else.

Actually, he's been in a relationship with Daniel Cohen for the past 14 years. However, he was celibate for a very long time (especially by showbiz standards ;) )

If you mean ironic and cynical and sarcastic, yes.

I just said what everyone else was thinking, besides it was only satire.

It's not what I was thinking; don't presume you speak for me, and satire it was not.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Actually, I couldn't care whether I was the only one. I still think it's awful.

I won't settle for anything less than an ill-thought out Android offering. Signed by Stephen. And the rest of the QI semi-regulars. And he knows Clarkson, so him too. ;)

I certainly did not thinking along those lines. When Stephen Fry is mentioned the first thought that comes to mind is that he is a polymath, and his incredible show QI. His sexuality has absolutely no bearing on how I perceive him. I am sure that many others are the same.

I have a lot of respect for Stephen Fry, from is early appearances on the Young Ones to the wonderful Jeeves and Wooster right through to his excellent performance in V for Vendetta. I do however find his Mac evangelism sometimes annoying, and I most certainly would like to be in the position of trying to defend or explain my comment to him.

I was simply making the point that a clichéd Daily Mail "reader" or "journalist" (Jan Moir) might make, I should have qualified the comment as such, as I did in the posts I made in the Stephen Gately thread.

I suggest you dig a little deeper, then. While he is a proud Mac user, he is pretty platform agnostic. Best one for the job and all that.

Absolutely. It is probably best to describe him as an "anything but Windows" evangelist!

* Pun intended, and that, Mr LaptopAcidPerson who's user name I have forgotten, is satire!
