I'm just done a win7 64 bit rebuild not upgrade.

Installed office 2007 added patch's etc.

set my email up all works fine.

Goes to repoint outlook at my pst not on the c drive obvously.
"File access denied yo do not have the permission required to acceess this file."

My account is at admin level. So puzzled.

If I copy same file into the outlook prefered folder of c:\user\name\appdata\local\microsoft\outlook then it works perfectly ok.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I got that error a couple of times when trying to install some programmes after installing. As I recall it was xfire and skype. Meh.

Good idea, that happened to me before.

I solved it. I copied them to another machine that is running outlook 2003 opened them there then copied them back and hay presto it bloody worked !
