Then why did he go this time?

Did you not hear him carry on about the BBC during Question Time?

There was an interesting letter in Private Eye from a current/former (delete as applicable) BNP member who said that he and another member were in the audience and were asking questions of the panel etc in 2005, announcing that they were both members. Basically arguing that he couldn't really see what the fuss was with the (then) upcoming debate, and he has a point in a way - the attention this show got was way out of proportion, and especially from the people who would like to see the BNP get ignored

When are people gonna learn that when you try to ban/censor something in the media, that public interest and curiosity, rightly or wrongly, always wins out?

You should never ignore the extremists. Though the main parties should deal with issues that give them support whether it is Islamic extremists or BNP. Only then will they struggle getting support.

I believe this to be the beginning of the BNP becoming more moderate and less extreme, the big question for me is whether or not they have truly renounced their old fascist ways, I think now it's fair to say they are (extreme) nationalist but not fascist anymore.

Furthermore, the point I keep thinking about is would the BNP if elected (highly unlikely) be sending our armed forces to foreign countries to kill the indigenous populations in the name of globalisation. If you think it about in terms like that who are really the extremists.

To be honest I have no respect for any politician, f u c k all of them, at 38 I'm facing the realisation I'll probably never vote again because democracy is an decreasingly thinly veiled illusion of which this programme was a poor attempt at thickening the veil.

I bet Mandelscum rang up Mark Thomson and hissed "I need a favour, get Nick Griffin on Question Time".

I would doubt that they have changed their views they may have simply toned down the message to get votes. It is just like the Tories saying that they will not be cutting taxes just for the rich. Its BS.

I think we've seen the video of him saying just that. Like most politicians, he lies to gain favour.

The most successful salesmen are the best liars. The only honest politicians are the ones you never see on TV.

Yes I can't fault that analysis. Some are better than others, though yes the BNP are lying about their motives.
