Yes we will be out of the recession next quarter. We were pretty close to it this time. But when you consider the huge sums that were spent to arrest the recession it is a huge embarrassment. All that money has just accumulated in the banks with little gain.

I thought that the Christmas sales happened later and later recently. Which explains why shops bring forward their clearance sales.

and inexplicably that means we exit recession last!

Yes I think we may not be out of the woods in six months time. I worry that they will start cutting spending or raising taxes too early, and we will drop back into a recession again.
