I've built several. When I was eleven, I had a Spitfire similar to the one May had in the show. The paint was acrylic and consequently I managed to get it over my favourite T-shirt. I also could not for the life of me figure out what 'decals' were or how to use them (no instructions to their use!) so I cut everything out and glued it on! For my twelfth birthday, I also had triple boxset of Heller racing car models from Argos, which did have decent instructions and I was able to apply decals properly. Most recently, I bought an Apache AH-66 helicopter kit on which I failed. Think there was a part missing or something. Then I bought another kit which had all the parts and I never completed it (I moved out before I was able to finish it so chucked it). Lastly, I bought a Knight Rider set which featured KITT. I stuck a piece of tinsel on the front for the scanner light. For me, the appeal is the quiet, meticulous approach. It's like knitting but for men!

rinse under warmish, hot kinda water, using scalpal to peel off the decals(stickers) when slightly warmed peel off and then paste onto model using the scalpel very carefully

Rinse?!? Are you nuts? You immerse the sheet (or the cut-out), briefly. Allow to dry (very briefly) so that they don't curl then apply. Mark

Does anyone here know when the remaining two episodes of this series are going to be broadcast? We still have the house of Lego and the scaled railway episodes to see.
