MMM autumnal food stuffs...
Perhaps one of the things I miss most about working above Mash, on Gt. Portland St in London, is their sausage rolls. I expect they're lined up in the display counter by now.

Other half made her own mince pie tart, with added pears from the tree (we have a pear tree in the garden - strange, but true). Yum.....

I'm sure last year Macdonalds did some xmas pie something-or-other in the style of their apple pies that was actually quite yummy.

Pie's are best with meat in them, washed down with a can of bitter, in somewhere like Barnsley.

Aye, and a reet good grocer's apostrophe. :p

Pies require gravy, maybe even ale gravy, but not necessarily beer, my beer's too nice to ruin it with cheap spuds and meat.

Pie's was supposed to sound like it was being said with a Yorkshire accent, like 'Puh-Eyes'. The phrase is 'Greengrocers' not 'Grocers'.

I'm orig. from Maltby near Rotherham. If you add a Whippet to the mix you could be in Teesside or Durham or somewhere, or even better, Whippet pie('s).
