Quote:
* The Wii2 system will feature a Blu-Ray drive with a secondary aim of stopping piracy
* 1080P and lower resolutions will be supported, for Blu-ray movies and games
* The release date is scheduled for third quarter of 2010
* The release will be worldwide and on the same day for all countries
* A scheme will be available in which it is possible to trade in the original Wii for a cheaper price on the new Wii 2

I think Nintendo finally recognise just how pirated Wii/DS games are, the Wii is insanely easy to mod, no tools needed

Until the games aren't gimmicky I won't get one

Yip, I personally don't know anyone who still actually plays their Wii anymore, and the women I know who own them all say the same thing about 'getting back into Wii Fit' - that's about as likely as me going down the gym

I don't think we've ever played our Wii after christmas morning. It's too boring. And something else that rhymes with that...ah - Snoring. :P

I don't get any time to play on the Wii but the kids are always on it. Even Mrs. V has the occasional go.

Typical. We find this out just after we've bought a Wii.

Presumably this is to give Wii 2 some purpose after the 3 games worth buying have been released and played to death...
Mariokart wii 2
A Mario platformer of some description
Zelda and the airy fairy quest name.

That's what's put me off TBH. I have played on Wiis, they're ok but I need a better graphics experience.

Now, have I been dreaming this, or will PS3 bypass the need for a Wii early next year by bringing out their own version of motion gaming? If so, well, the PS3 graphics will win hands down IMO.

I'm guessing it won't actually look like it came out of Ann Summers though
