Answer? They didn't. Just as nobody ever stops to think when they say unbelievers are going to hell...even though they know if will offend.

All religions deliberately offend anyone else who is not of that religion, this is not news. Well, it's news to the Xtians who obviously feel as though they have never been offended before. They should get over it, this is a secular society and it's going to happen a lot more as the world becomes a smaller place.
