Maybe it is time to stop dragging the show out over two days (and I wonder why that was decided upon....Ker-ching!) and take it back to what it was before. One show where the contestants sing and a short follow-up show the same evening. Also dump the 'sing off' and just throw out the act with the lowest public vote as the judges' voting isn't impartial and open to abuse. I'd also like to see the tally of votes too.

Or better still just dump the show altogether :)

You really are having a very sensible afternoon!

I am always sensible apart from when I'm completely bonkers. This X Factor mularkey does seem to be dragging on this year and all for someone who may or may not make a career from singing who we won't remember the name of next year *yawns and falls asleep zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*

The only name we will hear and remember long term is Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke will fade into the distance and the rest already have.... Leon Jackson? Shayne Ward? and Steve Brookstein :?: :?:

Mind you that Myleen Klass and Kym Marsh from Hearsay has done alright for themselves.

True I'd forgotten the Pop Idol era, Will Young is in there too. Seems that series was a bit stronger with it potentials! Maybe the country has been bled dry of possible singing talent from the joe public.

Better show than last week and Stacey was the only one who wasn't overwhelmed by taking on a Queen song. Problem is, those songs were written specifically for Freddie Mercury's voice and I thought singers like Olly and particularly Lloyd are just not able to do the songs justice and came across as a bit feeble. John and Edward came up with a good way of dodging the fact that they are hopeless vocalists :) Entertaining though!

I thought Olly was poor vocally and was suprised at the praise they gave him. Jamie Afro still isnt impressing me.

Shock For Twins As X Factor Stage Stormed - Cowell gets Stung

http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Showbi ... 3805?f=rss

Quote:
The show also saw Simon Cowell throw down the gauntlet to Sting after The Police star claimed the reality TV show had "put music back decades".

"I think this show and other shows have given people like Leona Lewis, Alexandra, JLS, Susan Boyle a shot," he said.

"Sting - this is an invite - come on this show and give your knowledge to contestants who need a little bit of your help."

First of all, there's definitely an element of truth to what Sting said.

Secondly, those contestants need more 'help' than Sting will ever be able to provide  , and if we're taking Cowell sincerely (snigger), aren't he and his fellow judges supposed to be 'mentoring' the contestants? :?
