when you work really hard and put yourself out just to keep everyone else happy, and then you overhear someone complaining about you.

When you're 3/4 of the way through a very important project and the relevant director says "We've decided to bring the go-live date forward to before Christmas."
Thanks. For. That.

I found out recently that you can ask for your interview notes. Learn something every day. Good luck with the job, fingers and eyes crossed!

when you have to spend some money and you ask what number you have to call to spend this money and the number they give you is wrong so you dial the number on the website and the lady says she's putting you through to the right department when she puts you through to personal not business department and the personal department says you can't spend money as you have a business credit card so she tries to put you through to right department..... well they said they would call me back

or when you spend 3 solid weeks working on something that is apparently a "show stopper" for the go-live deadline only to be told they don't want it after all and are doing something else instead. Shelf-ware FTL

What does that mean, exactly? You can ask for the notes that the person/people interviewing you made at the time?

Yes. I believe they are considered records about you under the Data Protection act therefore they have to give them to you if you ask. They could ask you for a handling fee of course but they can't actually refuse.
