bots simply 'crawl' [look at] the site so it can be listed in that perticular search engine

I get as many bots as real visitors. Thankfully, I don't pay for hosting. Just did a google on x404 and it already comes up 2nd in the listings...
That's just behind a link for the Pioneer GM-X404...
