So what are people watching this season?

We had a thread on the other place, but it's not currently available in this reality so I thought I'd start one here. Perhaps it won't just be me and vdbswong this time?

My list so far, but I'm still checking out new series:

Hatsukoi Limited - This is looking pretty damned good! Slightly ecchi romantic school drama exploring "first love". There is some violence, incestuousness and fan service in a predictable but enjoyable way.

K-ON! - Loving it so far; seen the first four episodes. Very silly school comedy with 4 great characters and lots of cake. And a controversial Fender no Gibson Les Paul which is heavier than the girl playing it; who confuses her chords with quadratic equations exactly like I do in my dreams.

Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo - this is more than half way through, but it's still airing. Another one I'm loving. It's an interdimensional space history mecha fighting sillness drama with flying potatoes and over-emotional brain-bot things with giant plasma-whips and a slightly kinky bondage theme. Music by Ali Project, love them or hate them. I love them.

There's quite a few more, but that'll do for this post. Here's my list:

Currently watching SAC season 2. Its taking ages as I can only watch my stuff (anime+horror) on saturday mornings when the wife is still in bed :!:
So no real chance of getting any new stuff at the moment. :(

Hmm... i was wondering when this thread would get made JJ ;)...

And yes ! Hopefully more people will contribute... :o.

For this season:

K-ON! - Like you said, just a light enjoyable anime to watch that does't try to overcomplicate things :D.

Hatsukoi Limited - TBH i watched the first episode and couldn't be bothered with it, it wasn't bad but didn't seem like my thing. However last week during a stale patch whereby groups were late with subbing i watched the second ep and have carried on watching. It's not amazing but it's watchable imo :P.

07 Ghost - It's a strange anime seeing as it seems to be aimed at both male and female audiences however the action and story aren't too bad.

Saki - Kind of like K-ON! but involving mahjong, isn't for all audiences since Mahjong isn't really that popular over here as such however i find it quite interesting and fun to watch =].

Asura Cryin' - As i said in the previous thread (that is no longer to be found) this series surprised me since general description of it made it out to be some sort of romance/ecchi/guy falls in love with this ghost he accquired however whilst they may be true it also gives a dose of mystery around who everyone is and what's happening. There's also some mecha and action but not enough that i'd quantify it as a mecha anime though.

Tears to Tiara - Fantasy action anime of sorts.... whilst i generally shy away from fantasy this is another that's quite watchable, there's a bit of mystery surrounding who exactly some of the characters are and it's rather interesting.

That kind of concludes the anime of this season lol... however i'm still watching Chrome Shelled Regios, Bleach and Hayate no Gotoku!! (Second Season). Also in the midst of watching Sekirei and about to start To Love Ru.

Arrrrrggghhhhh!!!!!

I wish they'd get round to releasing the box set of Bleach series 3!
They haven't even got a release date for that on Amazon yet, and the official UK don't have a date either. :x

I pay for TV I watch.
Plus the latest ones aren't in English yet anyway.

Recently got the first GN from Play for £3.50 - thought it had been printed wrong 'til I read the inside cover and it explained the Japanese way of doing things!

I shall dedicate the time to it ASAP...

The start of Naruto was very good imo however i found they just included way too many filler arcs which made it stale... essentially everything after ep210ish (i believe) was filler.

Shippuuden (the second season), like the first started off very well however yet again has descended into filler and it's just off putting... when Naruto's good it's rather good however when it's bad it's awful. IMO as opposed to Bleach where the filler can be mildly entertaining and doesn't last for too long (i admit the Bount lasted too long however the Amagai arc wasn't too bad).

Narutu was the beginning of the end for my relationship with an otherwise wonderful girl. I watched the first 3 or 4 episodes and dropped it, because it simply didn't hold my interest. It's on a similar level to Samurai Pizza Cats but not as funny! I've said before, I met the woman who does the Yankee squawk over. She nearly got lynched for being so [LIFTED]

I also dropped Bleach after about 4 eps. I actually thought it was really good, but at the time there were other shows which were far better. I still rate Bleach about 10x Naruto even though I dropped it. I might pick up the DVDs if I see them for a fair price, but I'm not that fussed. Let's face it, it's not GITS.

From that, I gather you watch the yankee dubs rather than the original sound tracks?

I watch the fansubs. If I like it and they eventually get licensed and actually released in America, then I buy the f*cking region "NOT FOR SALE IN THE UK" Yankee bastard versions which I will never play, but sit on the shelf as evidence that I paid my homage.

I seriously don't get DVD regions. It's just f*cking retarded. "Buy this, but you can't watch it or you go to gaol"
