There's times when I think the BBC is becoming little more than a press release aggregator - and even then they get it wrong sometimes Recently I've seen quite a few stories with what appear to be really bad cut and paste jobs... There was a heading in one that said something like ''Phil Spector 'went mental''', only for it not to appear in the main article text

"Chrome OS" is a typical commercial answer to a problem that doesn't exist. Google's online apps are, to be generous, mediocre, there is no kind of guarantee that Google will neither pry into, nor lose your data.
No matter how clever Google's engineers are (or think they are) they are not going to overcome the latency associated with downloading\uploading significant chunks of data across the Internet. So the device powers-up instantly, but you wait some minutes whilst trying to access the cloud. How is this different to waiting a minute mor so whilst Windows loads?
Useful for people whose entire IT use extends no further than a bit of email and Social Networking, otherwise just a gimmick.
