The GF had Sky+ this and when I came across it I though she has decided on a soft porn comedy night with jack the Lad Robin Askwith shagging his way through the cast in pure 1970 style.

How wrong I was...... this must be the only program I've watched which made me laugh, cringe and die from embarrassment by the attitude of my fellow country folk..... The abuse and hate is purely terrifying.

Did anybody else watch it?

I just watched it. I do feel sorry for the people in the film.

I work as a delivery driver, and it's part of the job that you risk getting parking tickets. So far I've only had one, but I have driven away from the wardens many times.

All the drivers have good relations with the wardens though, and it's as mentioned in the film - like a game of hide and seek! We all know each others names and chat for a few minutes if we see each other. Ironically, the one ticket I've had was when I wasn't working!

Maybe it's a London thing? :?

The only people who dislike Traffic Wardens are the bastards who can't park properly. Everyone else in the street is more than happy to see the lazy [LIFTED] get a ticket.

One of my cousins is now working as a Traffic Warden, but he hasn't had the courage to tell his mother yet, that he has to wear a stab vest!

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

What did surprise me was how foreign nationals still regard the UK as a respectable country with etiquette, good manners and traditional values

To be fair that is still my experience of England and Wales* - everywhere but London.

*Scotland excluded because I haven't ventured North of the border.

I wouldn't single London out. Most big cities are like that.

IMHO people tend to be nicer when you are in the more rural areas.

What do you class as "big city"? Having been to Plymouth, Cardiff, Bristol, Brighton, York and Newcastle-upon-Tyne (amongst others), my experience is that the people in these cities are still (mostly) polite and courteous. However, I have yet to meet one person in London who even bothered to apologise when they've walked into me.
