Now, I don't know if you remember a while back I posed asking about the best free software for converting fraps files into smaller movie files.

I decided to use Windows Movie Maker which has been fine so far however over the next three weeks I will have around 180 10 minute Fraps files that I need to covert. So there has to be a better way that doing it one at a time using WMM?

Also it would help greatly if I could set the program to automatically save the new clip is the same folder (I will need 90 separate folder, 2 clips per folder) as the old fraps clip and give it the same name (obviously with a different (smaller) file type).

So, any ideas?

Super C should do most (if not all) of that I think:

Ive tryed using Super C and everytime it runs it freezes the whole PC. Handbake doesn't seem to do the job I need it to:

Convert multiple avi files from multiple source folders to either MP4 or WMV and then place the files back in the source folder with the origional name.

I forked out a bit of cash for Cyberlink Powerdirector, but I've yet to find a similar program that is as good as iMovie on the mac. I'm downloading the free trial of Sony Vegas now, see what that's like.

If in doubt - update, turns out I was using an old version of Super C. Guess it didn't work to well with W7 64bit, new version seems OK. 32 files down, 2 errors. Just a further 34 to do and then the (presumably) four errors.
