Now, I play a lot of games, mostly ones that involve shooting things. However, I don't recall any game, besides M****n W*****e 2 that permits the torture or murder of civilians or captives. The only games I can think of where it is possible to destroy buildings - Crysis, Far Cry 2 etc, you aren't destroying homes, you are destroying shelters used by the opposing force - destructable environments are quite a challenge for developers, so only the really advanced titles seem to have them...and I'm pretty sure I've played all of those. Now, if the underlying objections are just aimed at M****n W*****e 2, then I completely agree.

Someone tell me why it matters that I can torture digital 'civilians'? I like to kill half the Police force in GTA IV too. If I did that in real life I'm pretty sure that would be illegal under UK law. The Geneva Convention is very effective in real life. No really, just ask the prisoners of Abu Ghraib. Ask the Cambodians after the Americans carpet bombed Laos and Cambodia during the Vietnam war. Oh, wait...

It's possible to kill anyone in Fallout 3 unless their essential to a mission I created a character to kill everyone I met, did considerably better than the "good" (ie pussy) character I played first time around.
I've always thought the lack of "friendly" fire in COD was gay, sometimes squad members were so stupid they needed to be shot, not to mention I'm sure a couple were traitors, plus it keeps the others sharp.

So that's why I have an urge to invade Poland. I did wonder.
What crap.
I think it's the crimewatch programmes and the like that are to blame. They keep making real people look like video games when they pixelate their faces. No wonder that there's so much confusion....

No, it's not, I was using my imagination. I know you're not supposed to when you play games as it effects the subconscious programming/conditioning. Sorry, I can't help it.
