I guess it was only a few hundred years ago that it happened in Salem. McCarthy was even more recent. They're not that backwards really.

It would never happen in this country; unless he was a pediatrician being lynched by a bunch of Daily Mail readers for owning a book about "kiddie Medicine" and offering to "cure children".
