Firstly Parliament would need to disestablish the Church of England - YES PLEASE!

Then and only then could they allow the succession of a Roman Catholic.

I say a monarch is out of place in the 21st Century.

I'd rather have the Queen than a president.

One we gain from, the other is a total waste of space and will cost more with little return and will probably end up being someone like Blair :x

No issue with women getting priority, but as the monarch is the head of the CofE, how could we have a cathloic?

If the Queen/King isn't head of state, then it would be a lying, self promoting, devious politician.

I think you meant they're both a total waste of space with little return.

Please don't use the Queen brings tourists argument, it's total [LIFTED], president or royalty we still end up getting f u c k ed over, either institution is as bad as the other.

The Queen's worth keeping around just to remind Gordon and the like that they aren't the be-all and end-all alone

The family are members and supporters of our armed forces, charities, you name it - no 'president' will give a sh1t about any of that, and God only knows our forces alone need support anywhere they can get it

Even if you don't buy the whole tourist bit, who's gonna come to see a 'president'?

Charlie boy speaks his mind, even if you don't agree with him. Political without being a politician.

It won't be too long before it's 'modernized' by the kids, who currently at least, have hot girlfriends IIRC :D

And Phil's a comedy legend
