Hi guys :D

Can anyone recommend some decent FTP software for Mac OSX (Snow Leopard).

I don't really want to use Firefox so anything else goes.

Something simple would be nice :D

Thanks

Cyberduck is a perennial favourite (unless your big_D ;) ) and it's free.
Dave will suggest Filezilla, which I don't like, but I'd guess those are the two most people will suggest as freebie options.
For retail, there's Transmit.

Thanks!

I had a look at Cyberduck first and it seems to do everything I need and is nice and simple.

Thanks :D

+1 for Cyberduck. I rarely use it anymore as I have little need for FTP, but it still comes in handy from time to time.

LOL, I knew there'd be a terminal command for it somewhere :D

I did try the built in finder one (i.e. Connect to server) it connected and I could see the file structure and it logged in using my own password and username but I didn't seem to have write access so I couldn't add anything.

Transmit is my weapon of choice when it comes to FTPing on the Mac.

That is correct, there's no write access for the Finder's FTP abilities. Absolutely bizarre, but there you go…

I use Transmit as well as Expandrive. Expandrive gives you a totally FInder-like experience. Your remote volumes are mounted on the desktop and behave just like any other Finder volume.
