Twilight or True Blood?
I've been talked into watching Twilight and I'm noticing several likenesses between it and True Blood.
The main male char is a vampire (obviously). He falls in love with the main female char (no surprises there). The main male char can read minds (the main female char can read minds in TB). The male char seems to be falling in love with the female char because he can't read her mind (in TB the female char can read everyone's mind except the vampire).
So which came first?

S'aaaaaall about Vampire Diaries. A lot more trashy and teen-angsty, but a lot cooler. And came before both TB and Twilight

I enjoyed Underworld and Van Helsing, I expected a bit of a yarn, plenty of action and some cheesy one-liners which (I felt) is exactly what I got and they are both films I would watch again (and likely will)
In addition to the Kate Bekinsale-ness of the thread, I also loved Cold Comfort Farm and she was stunning (in a totally different way) in that film too.

Take it you don't like vampire films then? I enjoyed both films but then I'm a total vampire lover so would take a lot for me to say any of them are crap.

I think I'm with you on that, we just watched an animation called "Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust" and it was really good, lots of layers and a really good story, I don't think I've seen a Vamp film that I haven't enjoyed, although we haven't seen "28 Days of Night" yet, we've got it, just haven't found time to watch it yet
