I'm with Lawson on this one, and this made me laugh:

Quote:
Gordon Brown, who met some of the demonstrators in Downing Street, said he and the "vast majority of people" were convinced by the scientific evidence for man-made global warming.

Have a poll on that one did you Gordon?

Politicians also like to speak for “the majority”. The problem is that a lot of people have not bothered to ask questions, and have taken the whole global warming theory as gospel because the media have told them it is so. Even the BBC seemed last week to be preaching the word of the Church of the Carbon Footprint without having any counter theory discussed.

There was a time when they seemed to get a bit timid and kept mentioning 'climate change' over 'global warming', but now I think they're just confused and will go with whatever they can get away with... They might come to regret that eventually

Climate change and global warming are terms that can be used to deny reponsibility for claims. It is correctly antropogenic global warming in the case of the theory centred around CO2 so each term is incorrect on the govenmant and the medias part.

Gordon doesn't have the right to speak for 'the majority'. Less than 40% of the UK population voted for his party and he himself has never stood for election as anything other than an MP. The only people he actually has any right to speak on behalf of are the voters of Kirkcaldy & Cowdenbeath.

I dunno what they think of global warming, I doubt he does either.
