NHS Pre-payment Certificates? I start saving on mine after about 5 weeks - they really are a bargain!

5 days after my operation mine had paid for itself

Every time I walk out of that pharmacy I'm usually carrying a few bags of stuff!

Ahhhh, but mine's an annual one (8-p)

I slid over the edge into type 2 diabetes a while back and now get all my drugs free. The wife always goes pre-paid though and saves a fortune.

Thinking of the money - I'm working 6.30pm friday until close (usually about 1-2am) then Saturday 9.30am through to 4.30pm, then again 6.30pm till close (1am-2am), then Sunday 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Sadly all of this is at the standard rate. :(
But it's money. :)

Despite other posts to the contrary, I've decided that I like ebay. ;)

I've picked up two broken Samsung SM226BW 22" monitors. The second one, from ebay, arrived an hour ago.

I stripped them both down, and have just rebuilt one fully functional monitor from the parts. 8-)

It looks rather nice, sitting alongside my other 226.

All for £42.50, including shipping.

I'm feeling rather happy right now. :D

Likewise, our Xmas work is over, and there's only 2 more days until our long-awaited holiday. I feel quite used up and worn out, it's been a long and tiring year, a holiday is exactly what's required :D

It looks like I've just been offered a job!

I have to go for an assessment/induction thing on Monday, but it sounds as if it's more of a formality, then I begin training on Tuesday.

The job is warehouse work, and pays about half of what I was earning in my last job, but it is a job!

It's been quite depressing watching the day to day bills chewing away at my redundancy money, maybe now I can stem the flow a little.

So, for the second time in two days, I'm feeling rather happy. :D

My PS3 3-in-1 Blu-Ray Remote Control/Wireless Key Pad and Controller (phew) should be here soon* :D

* Though I'm a bit concerned that Amazon had to 'source' it, and it's not available at the minute from their site :?
