Heather, again: Don't over-think this.
You don't care, good for you. How many times are you going to tell us that you don't agree with this? Maybe you shouldn't click on this thread anymore, we've got the message.
I am sure I will be able to live with the fact that Heatherkay does whatever she does...

I like Know Your Enemy more, even though all Rage Against the Machine songs are in fact the same song.

I've been looking through the episodes you've got coming up and there's some good 'uns you'll be at soon, and a few nice little plot-lines. Shame I've not got the DVDs here anymore! Boooo!

But it's the same sort of standard "let's try and manipulate the charts" that happens every year, wasting valuable column inches. I don't care at all for so-called reality TV, but this seems equally futile. Buy a track if you like it. Don't buy it to try and achieve anything.

I say for 80p or whatever, buy it if it makes you happy, for whatever reason :D

Why not? What's gonna happen if I do? Will I contribute to climate change? Fund terrorism? Create a financial meltdown?
I understand why some of you think this is pointless but I think it is worth a try. Couple of quid I can spare...

Great. Go to it. If it makes you happy.

It's even more pointless for me, I already have it.

The one flaw in your plan is Cowell already has more money than he could possibly spend in his life, so not getting the No. 1 will represent a minor inconvenience to him. I assume though it will hurry the headlong charge into obscurity for whichever jumped up karaoke artist wins the thing just that little bit more and could therefore be considered a good thing.
