A thread for all those who feel unwell with coughs, colds and 'flu.

Was fine up until yesterday. Suddenly I get a sore throat, dry cough, generalised aches and pains, swollen glands and a temp of 38*C. What's worse is that I've been doing twelve hour shifts at work and one of my co-workers and been feeling unwell for the last few days and coughing everywhere without covering his mouth. Moron.

Feeling a bit better but not sure if I'l make it in tomorrow though I am the kind of person who, unless I physically can't get out of bed, will still go into work.

If you feel unwell.....post here!

I've got stiff joints and sore limbs, the yellow fever vaccine really knocks you out.

Have been ill for the past week however am now on the uphill climb. Was pretty much the same symptoms as you CW although the worst of it was during the weekend where i would have stayed in bed were it not for trusty ibuprofen.

I caught it rather stupidly from sharing a 2 litre bottle of squash with my flatmate during Judo training. He'd been just as ill a week and a bit before however i'd forgotten about this since he actually went to training as opposed to skipping it before. The worse part of getting ill after training though was that all the muscle and joint sores were just multiplied from the flu and it was just hassle even to move around.

Anyhow, i'm glad i'm feeling better, especially with a presentation to give tomorrow (although not happy it didn't give me as much time to prepare, hence why i'm finishing it now).

Hope all you people get better soon =] :P.

I've felt a bit carp for a couple of weeks, but it never develops into anything. I think I'm just a bit "run down", although I've been sneezing constantly. Which is annoying.

How did you receive yours?

I had a holiday jab when I was about 9 years old, and the doctor messed up. It was for Africa, and I think it might have been yellow fever but I had several so I'm unsure.

He injected the vaccine deep into my puny biceps, and then he read the instructions on the bottle. It was supposed to be given as a "blister" under the skin for slow release. He wasn't sure what to do, so he gave me a second dose in the correct way.

About two hours later, I thought I was going to die. I have never been so feverish in all my life. Thankfully, it wore off in less than two days.

Good doctor. It was injected into my arm, 3 out of 10 people get a fever in the first 2 days so it was probably a normal reaction.

Mildly raised temperature, sore throat, chronic wind over night (glad I wasn't visiting my girlfriend, she would have killed me! ) and my butt just exploded!

Got about 8 hours driving ahead of me today! :(

I'm just getting over it although the throat is still a little sore. When I say 'little' I mean drinking water feels like swallowing razor blades. I should have stayed off the rest of the week!

My wife's pretty ill, so I'm just waiting for her to recover, then I'm sure I'll be next.

I started reading that and expected the sentence to end very differently.
