Lords generally have more time on their hands. Some of them seem to have a grip on reality that MPs don’t.

Yes, enough time to conspire to change laws for a healthy bankhander. :roll:

Lords don't have to worry so much about re-election. I suppose this allows them to take a longer view and be more circumspect.
