I'm sure I read somewhere that there had been an issue with two different versions of Killing In The Name being available for download. Some people had been downloading the wrong one.

Hmmm, it's back.
Yeah, but the CD version of X-factor only hits the shops today. It could easily take the number one spot.

Do you really think that out of 800k people nobody noticed and you are the first one to point it out? This has been debated to death already and it is not surprising that some still don't understand.

So troll off !!

I wasn't trolling.

The whole protest went right over my head, considering I've never seen X Factor and only have a vague idea of what it is... We get very few imported British shows and X Factor isn't one of them...

I found a link for aggregated download chart and RATM is the top of list right now:
http://www.livehits.co.uk/

Some of you might not know but there is a charity collection going on alongside the campaign, £36k so far raised:
http://www.justgiving.com/ratm4xmas/

Pretty good for "stupid and cynical" bunch...

Eh! Calm down calm down! </northern>

Dave just posted an amusing satirical piece. No need to get all aerated. :)
Dave - count yourself lucky the overgrown Karaoke show hasn't graced your shores.

I am calm, it just pisses me off that people come to this thread to comment that they don't care. Seriously, what is the point of doing that? I see threads like "Great chocholate poll" and I think that people are weird talking about things like that. But I don't go and write: "you are all freaks cause you talk shlt about chocholate". I tolerate what they like and I don't feel the need to express my dislike of it.

Why can't other people do it too? Dave doesn't care, he knows absolutely nothing about the campaign but he feel he needs to let us know what he thinks of us. If you want to comment than read through the thread and you will see that "sony being the record company behind RATM" was mentioned number of times and also the response to it was posted.

I was being patient with Heatherkay and Timark but it didn't work. I had to be rude to them so they would get the message and they haven't been here since. So I decided to save myself the effort of explaining it to bigD and I was rude straight away.

bidD, I know you are an intelligent person and I have he a respect for you technical knowledge and your sound views on all things in life but I ran out of patience to explain the same things all over again. And don't take it personally, I would have said the same thing to anybody. I had arguments with number of people on these forum but they always stay in that particular thread, I never hold grudge against anybody.

Meh. It's open season on this thread, as far as I'm concerned. I've been following it, not out of interest but because it's part of the moderator job description.

Posting a thread in an open meeting place about such subjects is very likely to get folk posting positive and negative comments. I feel obliged to air my opinions against X-Craptor because I am not in the least bit interested in any of it, yet find it's rammed down my ruddy neck all the friggin' time so I can't actually ignore it.

So deal with it.

Scouse, not northern. Not all northerners talk like that.
