It was blooming icy last night. I slipped over on the pavement, and now my left wrist is very painful. Which is annoying. Owe.

Thankfully, I'm "working" from home today so I'm not expecting to drive. I hope it actually stays that way!

Yes, but working from home I usually operate my mouse with my right hand while using my left for other things. Even operating a gear stick is going to be uncomfortable.

Actually, scrub that. It's pretty scary to be honest on icy roads on a little scooter with 100-section tires.

It's got some 120-section wet tires on it now. Actually much better. :D

lets get something straight …
no renewal of any roads has been undertaken in the HW (bucks) area for over 10 years
they have patched on top of patches that they are repatching

no new tarmac for any of the main roads has been laid in over 10 years

the very steep hills on all areas that enter and exit HW require under road heating as they are that steep
bear in mind that these roads are used from the motorway and are the most heavy used main roads in and out of HW for transport and supply

yet no investment in the road or transport infrastructure
winter tyres may help but they are not going to solve the underlying problem

invest in the road infrastructure because at this time it is collapsing …

ps
the CONservatives have held this area for over 35 years and it shows
they all have good index linked pensions and very well used expenses accounts
but sadly the roads are dismal and in a state of total disrepair …

Labour target funding to "deprived areas" which all happen to be more likely to vote Labour. There was a study on this published a few weeks ago, but I can't find it using google. The same situation applies to where I live, the council houses in Waverley actually have a negative subsidy!

According to the BBC weather guessers, (on their website) we're not due any snow in Manchester... only rain.

Oh good. More rain ;)

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.
