Is Christmas normal?

It's a regional curiosity practised in various places around the world, so it rather depends where you are. Around this time of year, I think it's considered quite a regular thing in Scotland for example.

It's always puzzled me a little that somewhere like Japan takes it so seriously. Despite being an ostensibly Buddhist country, they do truly embrace the consumerism and costumes. Some people here like to think of it as a Christian festival celebrating their deity's birthday, but most people think of it as "when those Coca-cola ads are on".

However I doubt you'll see many Christmas trees in Pakistan or Iran to name a couple of places, despite the popularity of Coca-cola.

Merry Christmas all!
I wanted to leave you with a festive image, but a John Lewis sponsored ferris wheel and an ice rink are all we've got in our town centre, so you'll have to make do!

Merry Christmas to you all.

I can still hear the kids, in their room, wide awake, but desperately trying to give the impression they are asleep.

I've managed to fool the missus, for a change, this year. She thinks the laptop box is actually a Wii Fit balance board. :D

Right, that's me up.

We had a nice night at Tickhill carol service last night, now I've just got to put the turkey in the oven and I'll be sorted for all the present unwrapping.
I don't think my son is old enough to understand Christmas yet, but I'll sure he'll have fun ripping paper off things. He'll probably enjoy that more than the presents themselves.

Morning dudes. Happy christmas, etc. :P

Just woke up to £350, so I think I can safely say I'll be buying a new scooter. :D
