Only reason I'm posting this is because it involved a fellow forumite!
Dream took place a few days ago.

I move into a 'flat', except it turns out that it's a house and that I'm lodging. The house belongs to a forumite. Three stories but set up in a rather strange fashion. The ground floor was essentially my room, with a floor plan the size of a three-bedroom house. Basement was everything you'd expect on the ground floor of a normal house - living room, kitchen etc. First floor was the forumite's room.

Nothing much happened. I moved in to the place, said hello to the forumite and then moved my stuff in. Rather boring but very weird. Especially given I've never met any of you in real life!

Lasagna before bedtime is a Neddy no-no!

The past couple of nights I've had some very strange dreams. One of them involving forumites also!

The first one was a last minute wedding (my wedding!) to someone who's daughter goes to the same school as my sister and I once babysat for. The wedding was taking place in a building that seemed to be an amalgamation of several different schools I have been to in the past. I remember a few old school friends were there (some of them I saw in the pub about a week ago). I walked into the hall with a few people; my cousin and a girl I know from Uni who recently moved to Jordan were among them.

Oh, the girl who I was getting married to had a boyfriend who was in the congregation and not too pleased that we were getting married.

I can't remember much else from that one.

The next one I can remember a lot more of...

I was working in a place that reminded me of The Carphone Warehouse store I used to work in in Wolverhampton but I was sat at a desk programming (very odd). I remember that Finlay (the forumite) was also working there although I've never met him so I don't know how I knew it was him. Also one of my housemates was there.

Suddenly 4 people came into the store/office and started trying to take my computer. They also managed to break into the white VW Polo that I was sitting next to and got away with it. Not before I recognise two old high school friends though among the four though! I remember getting my phone out and videoing them.

After my computer was gone I was worried about replacing it and went into Computer Exchange (I think) and started discussing details CPU types, etc... with someone there. I then ran through the town (recurring dream town that has a bit that is very similar to Piccadilly Circus in it) and ran into a Police Station. There were stairs and an escalator, I ran up the stairs but realised I should have taken the escalator as I had to jump a barrier at the top to get to the lift.

I got in the lift and pressed down (the other option was down-down (i.e. 2 down arrows) I emerged into what I thought was a claims office or something but then started thinking about what had happened and realised it was a dream and then it ends...

I sh*t you not. I sometimes think people have made up dreams like this but I am not creative enough to make this up. This was my dream last night.

Corrected. Though we had two types of lasagna so technically, I had more than one! :geek:

Ooo, I've not long stopped smoking (again). This time I've got some of those uber strong patches. Now my GP said to me before I started on them "beware, they may give you bad/weird dreams". . . I gave it careful consideration before deciding meh, what the hell.

JEEEZZZ LOUISE! They send you GAGA at night!! Really quite bizarre dreams.

I feel like I'm missing out.

I don't tend to remember dreams. I know I have them, because I talk and very very occasionally walk. But when I wake up I don't remember a thing.

Right now, I can probably remember two or three my whole life.

Sometimes I can remember a dream immediately after waking up, but have forgotten it later that day. All I can remember is that I did have a dream, and remember having one. :?

If it makes you feel any better Nick, I once read that 95% of a person's dream is forgotten within 5 minutes of waking up. :?

Oh crap! I don't want to know what the other 95% of mine is!

Although I think most of mine are during very light sleep to the point where I'm almost awake. I have to take hydrocortisone twice a day and if I ever miss them I get very sleepy so my dreams are usually in the morning when my brain is fully awake but I haven't yet taken my tablets and so my body is still asleep.

It's fracking annoying that I have to depend on these tablets and it isn't a comfortable sleepiness at all!

Oooh I love that state!

When you are aware of what is going on around you, but you are also aware of the fact that you are sleeping. I find it usually goes like this for me:

1. Hear things
2. Think, is this a dream?
3. Ponder for a while.
4. No - it's not a dream, that is xx or yy I can hear
5. But I'm still sleeping?
6. OMG I love this feeling
7. Wake up (d'oh)

It's always just as I realise I'm sleeping and how much I like the feeling that I wake up. People usually tell me they've been talking to me in my sleep afterwards.

Do any of you have known things that make dreams weird/more vivid?

I personally found eating a banana before bedtime makes me remember dreams better.
I've found cheese and pasta can make me have weird dreams.
Walnuts will make me have a "dream-free" night. Go to sleep, wake up feeling fully refreshed with no recollection of any dreams.
