Hi all,

Just been watching the Rory Peck awards 2009 on BBC news 24. Some pretty harrowing stuff.

One clip did make my jaw hit the floor. I can't link it directly but it's the first few seconds of Mahmoud El Ajrami's peice from Gaza. Second one down in the left column. Linky.

How close was that! :shock:

I can hardly believe that's real. I'd have thought the shell would be travelling far too fast to see.

High explosive rounds always travel much slower than Ballistic rounds because the energy for the blast is transferred from the chemical energy in the explosive rather than from the kinetic energy of the projectile.
