Snowed all last night and into today.

Looks like another storm moving in - satellite signal has disappeared, which generally means heavy snow clouds moving in...

Had to drive out of the car park with 10cm of snow this morning, no problems. The junction onto the on-ramp for the B68 was a little slippery, but the main road was fine. (A = Autobahn/Motorway, B=Bundestraße or A road). As I got towards Bramsche, I could see the ice glistening under the snow, so gently backed off from 60mph to 50mph, then got stuck behind the snow plough, who was 50 as well.

You obviously haven't seen the Jaguar ads... The snow ploughs always follow the X-Type Jags, that's the safest place to be

Yep behind one

In front is the most dangerous place ;)

Up to 4 - 7 inches near me, the xmas snow still hasn't melted and had a heavy fall last night and due for more snow tomorrow.

It's just biting cold outside at the moment. The wind isn't helping.

Just spoken to friends up north, where when I was a child we'd go skating on the reservoir every winter. It'd freeze up a good few inches, and historically even curling matches were held.
For at least the last 15 years, this hasn't happened, but this winter, the skating on the reservoir outside the village has resumed. :)

Drained the heating last night, the heating technician is coming to remove 4 radiators tomorrow, then we'll be putting insulation blocks in the niches where the old rads were and then covering it up with a wooden frame to hang the new rads on, covered by plasterboard, then the tech comes back on Friday to connect the new rads...

Weather forecast is saying more snow and down to -11°C over night this week! :(

At least we don't have water tanks in the loft here!

After spending just under 2 hours shovelling snow yesterday (an hour to dig clear the drive at my old flat, so I could drive to the new house, followed by another 40 minutes or so clearing snow at the new place), I could do without any more!

It's properly snowing again.

Which wouldn't be a problem if my mother didn't have to drive through it on her own tomorrow.
