Q: last night/this morning (depends whether you go by time or sleeping patterns) i managed to get into a club without showing any ID, which is lucky because i didnt have any and id just walked for 15 minutes through the snow to get there. am i officially a man now?

No, to become a man you must pass many rituals. Walking in to a nightclub without ID is not one of them.

Neither is walking out of said nightclub with a girl who has no ID either

only people i left the club with were two friends i went in to meet in the first place, i already taken :P

might also be worth pointing out im 18, and havent yet sent off for my drivers license yet, im not some bizarre-smelling pervert who wonders around nightclubs preying on young ladies

A: Because we use French grammar with mainly German words, but with some French, Latin, Greek, Hindi, Dutch, Norwegian and others thrown in. Oh and we never standardised it.

the modern-day English is a Germanic language derivative, but over the years we have been invaded and had extra words and grammar rules added by Latin, Scandinavian and Hebrew languages. It also maintains some archaic forms from the old Runic alphabet, which was used by the Old English people back in the time of cave-writings. Because of the language is a mush-up of many others, it incorporates rules, forms and spellings from each, resulting in a complex, difficult, stupid language. or it may be that rustybucket has his spellchecker turned off

A-Level English Language FTW

*EDIT* blast!! beaten to it

It's actually that Rusty spends far too much time typing in German and so automatically types "ie" for the English "ee" sound.

Because it makes some women feel ever so slightly horny.

I have the exact same problem. Working all day in German and using English forums, I keep mixing words up. Worse was talking to my mum earlier this year, she stopped me after 30 seconds, because she hadn't understood a single word! I'd been talking German to her!

I had a fun night out with my girlfriend and a mate and his wife, he was over from Italy. His wife spoke Italian, he spoke Italian and English, I spoke English and German and my girlfriend only speaks German... By the end of the evening, we were getting very confused, with he and I speaking English with our partners and German and Italian to each other!

My fiancee does the same also. Best of all is when she gets neurotic when she can't remember a German or English word in the other language and can't sleep until she's looked it up! :)

The worst is when I can't remember a word in German but can remember it in French.

I'd say you're officially a man however you probably still have some growing up to do. Bet you puffed your chest out in pride when you didn't get asked for ID!

I couldn't get a drink at Universal in Florida because I didn't have ID and I was 32 at the time

If you work for yourself, like me, it seems an awful waste of money to have two of everything just to separate yourself.
