Funnily enough I was sure I had seen him before

So you went through all that palarva to make out you'd seen him in a fight when you really remembered him from Hollyoaks   :D

No, was a really good season of the Ultimate fighter, especially seeing Ross Pearson win it in the end (Sunderland lad) and Wilkes beating Damarques in an upset. The last one wasn't particularly good though.

Something that has been lacking in Big Brother since the start, I fear.

Same could be said for 99% of TV at the moment. I'm only watching because its the last one and there's bugger all else on. Waiting for exciting new series to start but I fear I could have a long wait!

Saw the Best of TV of the Noughties last night and most of the shows were reality or programs that started in 90s but were still going in 00s.

Number 1 was Top Gear which says it all really.

Compared to the majority of the other output, TG used to be brilliant, not so much now. Basically, blokes (and quite a few women who probably fancied Richard Hammond) had one of the funniest shows on TV that had nothing to do with making Simon Cowell richer or camping it up like there was no tomorrow, revenue raising all the while....

It's had it's budget trashed now though :(

Question for you Caz. You hated the Wire, have you tried Battlestar Galactica? Could that fill the hole in your TV life? It's widely regarded as on a par and has divided many in terms of it's broad appeal as a drama and commentary on society and the human experience as a whole. Very, very recommended.

There are tons of other things better than BB to be watching. 24 will be back at the end of the month. Glee is on next week on E4 and I would really encourage people to give the first one a go. If you hate it - so be it, but I find it impossible not to enjoy the brilliance of it. Survivors is back on BBC1 next week as well.

But aside from all of at, there are DVDs of TV shows. And movies and everything ;)

I didn't hate the Wire - it was OK but I found some of the strong US dialect hard to follow and it was rather dissappointing after everyone had been raving about it. Not seen Battlestar but will give it a go. Can't wait for Glee to start - saw the pilot and I loved Jane Lynch in Two and a half Men. I saw the first series of 24 but lost interest in it.

I've been watching loads of films in the meantime. Have now finally seen all of the Pirates of the Caribbean films and thoroughly enjoyed them :)

Was given the last series of Dexter over Xmas and will watch it if I can remember where I put the DVDs lol.

Dexter is seriously up there. Some of the best writing and concepts I've ever seen. Not quite as good as the Wire, but perhaps more "fun"! Please find them ASAP. Battlestar is superb and I'd love to hear your opinion. As for Jane Lynch, she's awesome in Glee. Have you seen Role Models?

It's not my sort of thing, but some of the Nurse Jackie reviews were good if you wanna Google that, Caz (maybe you've already heard of it) :)

Glee - Made it to episode 5 and was too irritated to carry on. Who'd have thought a show all about singing and dancing would have so much singing and dancing in it?
 Lame.

On the other hand, nearly all the girls I know love it.
