We have a butchers in Aber who have a hot counter. For £2.50 you can get a breakfast bun containing: 2 to 3 sausages, 2 to 3 rashers of bacon, 1 egg, fried onions and 1 to 3 pieces of fried black pudding (I say x to y as the lady behind the counter has no sense of portion control!)

I may have to wander over and hope she stuffs in more black pudding!

I love my food and there's not much I dislike but black pudding is definitely on the list of things to avoid.

Can't say I've tried it to be honest. Not something that really appeals and I wasn't given it when I went to Scotland. I did like their square sausages though :)

I've not had black pudding for ages. Last time I did, it just didn't taste like it used to when I were a lad.
Same goes for haggis. The last one I had tasted mostly like porridge.

I guess it very much depends where you get them from, and Tesco isn't high on the list :(

Ahhh, HAGGIS!
Last batch I had came from a local butchers in Peebles, the Purple One's parents were working up there and brought me some back. It was great stuff, served in a stomach because the intestines were a lot smaller portions!

Cheap black pudding is foul, but a decent one is heavenly. My sister's pub does it fried with confit belly pork and bubble and squeak, absolutely delicious.
