Flickr is a fickle thing. This image gained 90 views in one night and it isn't even that good. I have images that I prefer that struggle to gain any interest.

Well done on the stats though!

3235 at the end of the day. I will add that they were photos taken at Star Trek: The Adventure, and I initially tagged them all with “Star Trek” when I uploaded. The photos aren’t that brilliant, but they are pictures of props, costumes and sets from the many TV series.

It could have been the tagging that made the difference then - think of how many people on the planet may have googled Star Trek that day!

Undoubtedly.

This is the most viewed picture:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/hairydalek/3650501298/

A model of the Enterprise bridge (the last TV series called Enterprise) made of cardboard. It was made to allow the production team to determine which bits to pull out and poke cameras through. All sets would be planned in this way, BTW. 178 views on that image yesterday. It’s things like this you don’t usually get to see.

Just tag a pic 'naked'. You'll have stats coming out of ur a$$

By the way is there any benefit to stats or is it just bragging rights? (although to be fair having a lot of people look at a photo doesnt necessarily make it a good one)

Absolutely! There is a hell of a lot of junk that makes it into "explore" - certain things do well on flickr - beaches, partially naked women and kittens. Unsurprisingly, flickr is overflowing with images such as those!

I far surpassed my previous best on Flickr yesterday.
I guess that's what happens when you upload almost 1,000 images in one go.

I don’t think I’ll ever reach my best again.

A few thousand for my part. But then, I only joined the fun last February...

18,541 as of yesterday.

For some reason, yesterday's views hit 109. May have been because I spent some time tagging some older images and they've been caught by the spiders.
