Maybe he means a contract upgrade rather than a phone upgrade. Otherwise I'm puzzled

That's exactly what it is. Your tied-in contract has ended so if you're happy to keep your current handset then you can simply take the £20 per month contract on your existing handset. Should you then wish to upgrade the handset later on you just need to give them 30 days notice. Mark

I just upgraded! (8+D I had to wait until now because my contract was up today. I'm now saving £15 a month. There was also a bunch of free (yes, FREE) bolt-ons I could have so I went for the unlimited texts one. (8+) This is brilliant! Unlimited texts (which is what I've wanted for a good while now) plus a saving of £15 a month. Result. Mark

A mate managed to get a free upgrade to the 3GS recently. He swears his NLP techniques swung it; I'm thinking someone making targets might also have factored into it.

I'm on the £20 simplicity (the web one so twice as many mins/texts) with the unlimited landline bolt on. Never going to use my minutes, though, so meh!

Not after the way you led him on the other day and then totally failed to do what you said you'd do. Mark
