The Matrix is far too harsh for 2 and 3. But that's because I find philosophy interesting and like the whole mythology. Most people just see movies. All I see is blonde, brunette, redhead......
JP is too harsh on 2 and 3, but roughly right proportionately.
LOTR, I agree that Two Towers should be a slight peak (especially in extended cut)
Back to the Future I would probably agree with, except that for some people the extensive temporal mechanics in 2 will detract somewhat.
T3 is better than suggested here. 1 and 2 are about right.
Godfather 3 is also better than shown, by quite a margin.
The gap between Batman and Returns should be smaller.

The rest of it is mostly about right.

The real issue though is how do the trilogies compare with each other. You can't tell me that Jaws is as good as Godfather 2?!

OK, I've only seen all of the films in a few of those trilogies.

For Indiana Jones, I thought the third was better than the second.

Matrix is about right.

Jurassic park, the first one should be slightly higher, the second a little lower, and all traces of the 3rd should be wiped from this Earth.

Lord of the rings, the first and third should be much lower. The first took forever to get started (but better towards the end) and the third, despite some excellent scenes throughout, will never be forgiven for the dull, literally 45 minute ending where you're sat there thinking "Excellent, 45 minutes to go, there's another twist coming..." and then the sad realisation dawns about 10 mins from the end when you realise that, no, they are all just going to sit there and look at each other for fracking ages whilst the orchestra gets another airing.

Romero's Dead, Evil Dead, Resident Evil: Not seen - doesn't interest me.

Maybe I'm a bit wrong on many of these but not on Pirates, surely? They must be among the most pointless films ever. Oh well, back to the drawing board...
