Warned of more snow, but is falling as rain – again. I feel so left out.

No more snow here in Cambridge, MA. A bit nippy though and the Charles River has almost totally frozen over.

Mostly doing my bit for the Sam Adam's Brewery :)

Seriously we're having a global meeting of the HPC admins to decide what we're doing in 2010 etc.

My father just had to fork out the best part of £400 after his car was damaged by a pothole. The council are sending out a claim pack.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Apparently it has been quite a common occurrence, typically down to the poor state of the roads and not being laid with weather and use in mind.

Typical for the government to skimp on the initial cost and then have to pay far more in maintaining the poor quality roads when if they paid more to start with they would be better off

If you avoid the potholes on the roads around here the police will probably pull you over on suspicion of DUI.

Absolutely, I know some of the roads in my area weren't great.... but some of the potholes now are in places a good 6 inches deep

They came round and filled a few of the more serious ones.... a week later the repairs had already begun to crack under the stress from the weather!

they same for the roads around here in high wycombe the potholes are getting deeper and the road surface is just lifting off and they are not even making an effort to fill them or attempt any repairs

two people i know have already destroyed tyres on their cars this week …
