I haven't been happy with where I work for the past 5.5 years.

Happiness is overrated.

If you're happy all the time then you've settled for second best.

I completely love my job!!

Somedays it's harder to remember that than others, but on the whole I love my job, I love the company I do it for and the people I do it for/with.

I work for Speedo International Ltd (yes, they of the James Bond 'nut sack' fame) I am the PA (Personal Assistant) to the Vice President of Product, and I provide admin support for all the people who work for him; which means that I work for the Swim, Watershorts, Equipment, Footwear, Design, Marketing and Garment departments. I currently have my boss, the head of Admin Nikki, my other boss, the VP of Product Sean, my other bosses Sharon, Mel & Deb heads of business planning, softgoods and design respectively and then a bunch more catagory manager bosses, and then a load of product developers and designers etc etc. At last count I work for 84 out of the 165 people in the company 8-)

I organise all travel, manage diaries, sort out invoice approvals, manage holiday allocations, schedule key seasonal meetings, arrange catering, bind documents, do typing duties, and everything in between. Sean sometimes jokes that it's like having a second (organised) wife, but I always feel compelled to point out that it's completely different; unlike his wife I don't care

I have really good relationships with all my bosses, my teams and their people, I have just had a really positive PDR and I couldn't be in a more ideal job for me.

I voted a simple "Yes".

I was thrilled at first, but Day after day, love turns grey Like the skin of a dying man. Night after night, we pretend its all right. I have grown older and You have grown colder and Nothing is very much fun any more.

Rubbish.
If you're not happy all the time then you're doing it wrong!!

TBH I don't know anyone who is non-stop happy all the time. I consider myself a pretty positive and upbeat person, but I'm not "Happy" all the time. What I am all the time is content, overall in the great scheme of my life I would describe myself as happy, but more in a satisfied and positive way than just happy all the time.

Silly management decisions are the only thing that really bug me about work  , but I'm smart enough to know I have it easy ;)

I still voted 'Meh' though as it can get incredibly dull at times...

I was happy with my job before they laid me off.

Pie for me on the happiness front.

Since I left full-time employment to be a freelance designer a decade ago, I've been up and down and all around.

Right now, I'm excited about the new photo library business, but it's not going to make me rich overnight. Then again, as long as I can pay the bills, I'm usually happy enough.

As the late great Spike Milligan put it, I'd like the chance to prove that money doesn't make you happy.

I work for Local Government - nuff said...

Been here for the best part of 36 years (in 2 days time) and apart from the first few years I keep trying to convince myself that morale couldn't get any lower. But it does

Edit: Originally typed a couple of paragraphs but it turned into a rant. That's not what this thread is for........

I'm a Desktop Support Analyst at Discovery Channel but I work for a company they own called Antenna Audio. Been working in IT for about 15 years now and love my job. Things could do with improvement (slack boss and more money) but on the whole I am pretty happy. Every day is different and I like the people I work with. Plus I'm left to manage myself so I am able to trawl these forums while waiting for Notes to replicate or other tasks that don't involve you staring at the screen the whole time.
