Strange the BBC reporting this, as they claimed he was dead back in 2003 or something, remember reading it, conveniently they probably deleted it from their site, but I remember them saying he was Saddam's cousin and the brother in law of Baghdad Bob, who some believe was just an American Actor, so who know's what's right. So far 'Ali' has died several times and also been sentenced to death several times. Hmmm... I wonder if these “string indications” were from the same bottle as those which told Tony that he could say that he had “no doubt” that there were WMDs in Iraq. The first article does not say for definite that he was dead just that there was a possibility that he was. I suggest that we refer to him as Schrodinger’s Ali for the remainder of his life.

My understanding was that they could have simply executed him straight after the first conviction, but chose to make him stand trial for several of the cases to allow for justice for each of the separate groups that were attacked.

Plenty of war criminals out there (especially in israel)
And if someone is stating that the gasing of 5000 kurds is genocide then what has happened to the palestinians over the years should be put on trial.
Western Countries home to war criminals and major war crimes: UK, USA and Israel
All countries have had blood on thier hands.
It is a war of ideology, power, influnce and profit for western governmnets is middle eastern conflict. Very little to do with justice, it is.
