Steam headed to Mac?

What actually has held back gaming on the Mac, especially since Apple's keen on us to download everything anyway? We're told there's enough Macs out there, and as I understand it the chipsets and cards would let a lot of games run at half-decent settings :?

That mac owners aren't really interested in playing games, or they buy consoles?

If I could use the games I've already purchased then I'd be very happy. I currently have to duel-boot or fire up a VM to play Steam games, not having to do so would be very nice.

I don't think it would be beyond Apple to promote them though, then who knows? ;)

I take it you didn't read the CPC Mac-killer article. The availability and cost of good GPU's on Macs was an issue.
