A fair while ago (probably on the old boards) someone posted a site which would take an Apple XServe and make it into a portable, anyone know what that site was?
By portable do you mean on wheels? I can't envisage running a Xeon based server of anything smaller than a UPS battery (and a fairly hefty one at that). Run time would be abysmal.

It looked like a huge laptop IIRC, and it was mains powered, or perhaps ran off some sort of car battery...
