Yeah, Rusty, come, come! Twiglets are not hallowed, they are merely part of the celebration. The almighty PIE! allows us to share in them on such occasions when a remarkable feat has been accomplished, but when pie-baking is impractical due to numbers or time-constraints. Twiglets are an, albeit tasty, spontaneous means of celebration, but little more. Quiche is the most delightful of summer-y savoury pies, perfect for a luncheon, with it's cheese-y-egg-y filling, that the naysayers are forbidden from consuming.

Quiche, twiglets. pie, homemade french onion soup, vermicelli noodles and cake!
