Why is it allowed to post on the 5 to 6pm thread out of hours but not post on the FPOTD thread after having posted already?

Because I created the FPotD thread in the previously used Dennis forums. As this one here was created as a continuation of that thread I still feel a duty to police that thread.
I have no such feeling of duty to this thread.
If the OP had asked for intervention at the start I would've helped out, but there's a precedent now and it would be folly to try to impose rules here, now to that effect.
