Just been in contact with Hauppauge (TV Cards) over an IR cable that had been lost from the unit (ie entirely my fault). Wouldn't take a payment, insisted on sending one out free of charge.

I am most impressed, and thought praise was in order.

partsforsaabs.com need an accolade as well. I've never dealt with them until the current Horace MOT saga and called them to ask about some parts we needed. The chap who picked up the phone was dead polite, very knowledgeable about the C900 and was able to look up all the parts, check stock and (with the alternator mounting bracket bushes) even went down to the warehouse, pulled a pair out and left them on his desk in case I called back and needed them sent out the same day (which I did)

All the guys I've spoken to have been incredibly helpful and it's been a really positive experience. They even have a decent website which makes a nice change from dealing with elkparts!!

I usually try to write a letter, I know how valuable it can be to have that kind of thing when it comes annual review time, and people should be quicker to compliment than they are to complain :D

You get the occasional git, but I generally find the smaller businesses that sell on Amazon and Play are excellent :D

Epic Win - Scan. RMAing stuff with them is no hassle at all.
Epic Fail - Virgo Home Improvements. Which part of "Stop Calling Me!" don't they understand.

Epic Win - Netgear. Despite the call centre being in India (by the sound of it) They RMA'd my DG834PN without any issues.

Just wandered in to the Apple store in Kingston with no appointment & they replaced my iphone 3G-S on the spot with less than a 5 min wait.

I was very impressed with Draytek service when they repaired my Vigor router after it went fut after a power spike.
I'm usually impressed by John Lewis CS as well. Their staff always seem much more willing to be helpful those in a lot of other stores.

They ignored my questions about why my router DG834G v2 didn't seem to recognise Linux hostnames unless I turned SAMBA on. I guess it's down to who you get on the other end of the phone.

The couple of times I've had issues with Amazon they've been very efficient and apologetic.

Amazon = epic fail.
Never responded to my complaint that 2 DVD players I bought were region 2 only when Amazon advertised them as multi-region.
The first I sent back, the second I hacked to make it multi-region.
