http://www.computerandvideogames.com/ar ... ?id=232518I only post this cos I had seen it mentioned a few times before, mostly people skulking around the issue of how long 'exclusive' deals last... I'd need to finish GTA4 first of course

For the first time, PS3 and Games for Windows - LIVE players will have the opportunity to experience the last two thrilling chapters of the Grand Theft Auto IV saga.
The two action packed episodes will also be available for download on the PlayStationNetwork and Games for Windows - LIVE on March 30, 2010. Each episode takes place in the same detailed and immersive world that made Grand Theft Auto IV one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time. "It's been a long time coming, but we are proud to finally deliver Episodes From Liberty City for the PC and PlayStation 3," said Sam Houser. "We appreciate the patience of our PlayStation 3 and PC fans worldwide, and we look forward to putting the games in your hands this March."
The Lost and Damned is a dark trip through Liberty City's seedy underbelly as outlaw biker, Johnny Klebitz, fights to keep his gang together as a rift in the gang's leadership threatens to tear the brotherhood apart. In The Ballad of Gay Tony, players explore Liberty City's high-end nightlife as Luis Lopez, struggling to balance the temptations of money and vice against loyalties to family and friends. Both episodes feature a slew of new vehicles and weapons, and each episode adds new activities including cage fighting, gang wars and BASE jumping.
Episodes from Liberty City - Available March 30, 2010 globally (The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony together on one disc) Does not require a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV
PlayStation 3 Games for Windows - LIVE
The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony - Available March 30, 2010 globally (Individual episodes for digital download) Requires a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV
PlayStation Network Games for Windows - LIVE
Original story below:
PS3 GTA fans have been waiting for Episodes From Liberty City for a pretty long time - watching 360-owning gamers hog the title as a platform exclusive.
That's no longer the case according to retailer SimplyGames.com. The firm confirmed today that a PS3 version is coming this year.
Simply put out a statement today that read: 'We can confirm that the details on our website are correct and that this title will be released on the Playstation 3 in the near future.
'We have had to remove this title from sale for a short period. As soon as this title is available to pre-order we will email you with all the details so you can get your order placed as soon as possible.'
ConnectedConsoles chased up the story.
Episodes From Liberty City brings together former GTA IV DLC packs The Lost & Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony. The title runs as a standalone game and does not require GTA IV.
Any of you PS3 owners feeling a little gleeful right now, readers?

Forgot to ask KRKux , are you gonna go for the download or the disc(s)? I've seen way too many drives fail in my time as one reason against d'loading, so I'm gonna go disc

| | | | Quote: Rockstar has announced it will have to delay the release of Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes From Liberty City on PC as well as PlayStation 3 following last minute requests by Sony.
The Ballard of Gay Tony and Lost & Damned should have seen a release this month, bringing the DLC outside of the Xbox 360 for the first time, however a request by Sony Europe to edit some of the in-game radio and TV broadcasts has caused a delay.
"Due to a last minute game submission request from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe to edit some of the in-game Liberty City radio station, television, and internet content - we are forced to delay the worldwide release of Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City for both PlayStation 3 and PC for an extra two weeks," Rockstar explained on its blog.
"The new release date for Episodes from Liberty City - and the two downloadable episodes The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony - on those platforms is now April 13th in North America and April 16th in Europe."
The company added: "Unfortunately, with each round of changes comes fully re-testing the game and a full re-submission to PlayStation. This is the nature of the game submission process. Believe us, if we could expedite the turnaround any sooner - we would. We are dying to get this game in the hands of fans who've waited for it for so long in the first place."
While the edits are on the PS3 European versions only, Rockstar says it decided to delay all releases so that "everyone can experience multiplayer simultaneously, take part in online events together, be on level ground on leaderboards, etc" but admitted it was a "tough decision".
Edit?

So, anyone playing these Episodes? Currently going through The Lost & The Damned and I'm so far very impressed. Its cool to see a new story that intertwines with the characters from the main game. Niko has already popped up once and now I'm doing missions for Elizabetha.
It was a shame Microsoft had an exclusivity deal on the RROD 360, because it was wasted on there.

Really? It seemed to sell well, but I was waiting for the double pack on disc to drop below the cost of the DLC anyway, it seems a lot (on any format) for the 2 add ons Still working through the first game too actually

I've done the main campaign on the first one, but after shooting 199 pigeons only to find the 200th wasn't where it was supposed to be I kinda lost heart. It's rather a lot bigger than your typical DLC. I think I've already spent more time on The Lost & The Damned than Modern Warfare 2, which is allegedly a full game. I haven't even looked at The Ballad... yet. £20 on Steam seems to be a fair price.

I can see MW2 being the DLC and the GTA4 add ons being individual games tbh

Absolutely. If MW2 had been a £10 add-on pack for MW1 I could accept that. £40 for a 5 hour game is just pathetic.
