In case you haven't noticed Edd and I have been on about various food shops etc in Bath. In particular we have been rabbiting on about a Pub called the Raven that does the most wondrous Pies.

So what locations around Britain are simply must eat in as far as you are concerned.

The Raven http://www.theravenofbath.co.uk/ great range of pies with mix and match Gravies etc. Great Beers as well

Joes Ice Cream in Swansea.http://www.joes-icecream.co.uk/ to die for. Not a great range but the quality is mind boggling, queues outside when its snowing, honestly.

Lets here about yours then. I'm sure you have got some absolute Gems you are prepared to share with fellow forumites.

I've heard that the Brains Surgery (Bath) did good food and Brains beer, but that it's recently closed down...

Fuji Hiro in Leeds is one that I've only been to twice but it's been very nice both times.

The portions are a little big for me but that's a plus I suppose. The food and service is great and the price is good too.

Can't beat CS for meat pie but their meat & potato is amazing and their custards are superb.

Black Venus Inn - Challacombe, Devon
Lamb Shank is beautiful.

Nutters - Norden
The nine course set meal is, frankly, criminally good.

I'll add the following for now:

The Bell Inn, Monks Kirby - run by Paco, look like a pub but really good Spanish restaurant.
The Mussel Inn, Edinburgh - Mussels. Om nom nom nom.

yak yeti yak, Bath http://www.yakyetiyak.co.uk/ very nice nepalese restaurant in Bath. Affordable and multi awarded.

Le Trois Garcons, London = Quite simply the best meal I've ever eaten.

New Tayyabs, London = Consistently the best curry one can buy.

Konstam at the Prince Albert, London = Mighty fine high-end gastro.

Uludag, London = Easily the best kebabs I've ever had.

Jollof Pot's "Spinach & Agushi", London = Unbelievably tasty Ghanaian street-cuisine.

The Tinners Arms, Zennor = A very impressive Sunday Roast.

St. Andrews Bistro, St. Ives = Really tasty, reasonably priced pan-European menu.

The Garlic Farm Restaurant, Isle of Wight = Super-fresh and healthy food-filled plates (and subsequently bags after a trip to the shop).

Oh yes how could I have missed that one. Prefer Harrogate one though.
