To replace all the systems that won't work with anything but IE6 across all of government is going to cost many many million. :roll:

Indeed. Seriously, that's terribly short sighted. Were they expecting (perhaps not unreasonably) for the clients to be keeping to a reasonable upgrade path? :?

That was the browser ( no real options ) that was used the fact that it was so totally non standards complaint didn't matter as it allowed the suppliers to do what they wanted in terms of functionality.
