Just consumed 2 eggs, 6 bacon and cheese with Worcestshire, pepper and tabasco on toasted wholemeal. I am going to sleep so well tonight.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

OMG!! My Mister has been teaching himself Egyptian cooking ready for the Egyptian night this weekend. He's managed to get tahina sorted after only two tries and last night had a go at felafel. They are soooo gorgeous, just like the ones we had there and I have the leftovers of his experimentation for my lunch which I am eagerly anticipating. I'll try to get him to post the receipes here for you lucky people

Forgot the lentils. Lots of lentils - they're really good for thickening and killing hunger

As posted in another thread, we had game pie on Friday: In other news, it seems that, assuming the manufacturer confirms they're genuine, I may be getting some knives for my birthday.

Nice. I had a game casserole with juniper spiced cabbage on Sunday. Just noticed the knives part of the post… very nice.

What should I make for tea? I have 1lb of minced pork, 1lb of mushrooms and two red peppers. These need eating today. I have the usual store-cupboard items. I was thinking of chilli tortilla with plenty of cheese, or maybe some kind of pie. You have an hour to come up with suggestions

Burgers with a red pepper sauce of some description. Mushrooms can be composted

Ooh there's an idea. I'm keeping the 'shrooms though; they're good for you! Minced up with the meat, they'll practically disappear. Alternatively, I do love cream of mushroom soup and it freezes very well.
